Exercise keeps us young and healthy! Ageing can be scary for many reasons. But one easy way to stay feeling young and healthy is through a combination of different sort of exercises. It is so vital to keep mobile and exercising, as we get older. Just like everything else …if we don’t use it we loose it! I remember my mother who used to do calculations by hand and when asked why bother doing calculations by hand instead of using the calculator, she would rightly answer: “I am keeping my brain working!” This is such a valid statement when it comes to our brain, our body muscles and our heart and lungs! Have you noticed how more and more young people don’t even know the phone number of their partner because they are so used to dialing that speed dial or pre-entered contact telephone number! Super Salad Healthy eating does not have to be complicated !  RULES:         *A rainbow of colours * *Foods that come from earth * *The less legs the better* 1/ prepare in the evening / or early morning in a big family salad bowl keep in fridge.  (Salad dressing separate on the side) to be added to individual servings. 2/ ready to put in containers for everyone on the go or easy to grab when coming back home  3/ add a home made soup as a starter if it's cold weather  4/ add a wholemeal pitta bread if really hungry  4/ add piece of fruit + some live yogurt as a desert Et voila ! Surprise Whole grain Egg fried rice

Surprise Whole grain  Egg fried rice SERVES : 3/4 PREP TIME: 10/15MIN INGREDIENTS: 3 cups cooked whole grain rice / whole grain Basmati rice  (day old or leftover rice works best!) 3 Tablespoons oil 1 cup frozen peas and carrots OR use whatever you have leftovers (chicken, broccoli etc ..) 1 small onion, chopped 2 teaspoons minced garlic 2 eggs, slightly beaten (3-4 Tablespoons soy sauce) INSTRUCTIONS: Cook  whole grain Basmati rice Prepare the garlic & onion finely chopped On medium high heat, heat the oil in a large wok/pan . Add the peas/carrots mix or your very own surprise left overs mix !!!! , onion and garlic. Stir fry until tender. Lower the heat to medium low and push the mixture off to one side, then pour eggs on the other side of pan / wok. Stir fry until scrambled. Homemade mash of sweet potatoes & broccoli + garlic & onion And Cauliflower + onion + garlic Gratin

Homemade mash of sweet potatoes & broccoli  (with garlic & onion) (serves 4 person) Preparation time : 20 min 200g sweet potato. 200g broccoli  cut into florets Peel the sweet potato and cut in four, put the sweet potato into a saucepan, cover with boiling water and cook for about 12 minutes until tender. Meanwhile steam the broccoli until tender (about 5 minutes) or boil it until tender Drain the sweet potato and mash together with the broccoli, knob of butter, milk, grated garlic or finely chopped (a few pieces) and finely chopped onion (one onion) and a little bit of grated cheese. Et Voila ! Did you know ? Broccoli and cauliflower both contain vitamin C. Your body needs vitamin C to maintain a range of tissues.
